Psalm 68:19-20

in Believe on 05/27/10

19 Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior,
who daily bears our burdens.

20 Our God is a God who saves;
from the Sovereign LORD comes escape from death.

— Psalm 68:19-20

Who daily bears our burdens.

Even I don’t want to daily bear my burdens. And sometimes I flat-out refuse. Why should I be burdened? It’s not fair.

And yet among my burdens, there is not a one Christ hasn’t borne for me, nor one God does not carry for me each and every day. If the load seems heavy, I am misled. Rather than enumerate all the burdens I carry, I should remember Who carries me.

And Who saves me. My God is a God who saves. Amen.
