Griffin never seems to tire of (quite literally) running laps through the living and dining rooms, chattering his way through some sort of toddler monologue and enjoying himself hugely the while.
Sometimes, he interrupts this wild career to run over to wherever I’m sitting, throw himself on me and give me a bear hug and a big: “Awwwww.” (I cannot tell you how much I LOVE having an affectionate kid!)
Today, however, he added a twist. Instead of “just” a hug, he came over to my chair, wrapped his arms around me and started to rock us both side-to-side. After a moment or two of this, he said: “I so happy. I so happy.”
Me, too, sonny. Me, too.
